About Us

I began this story growing up in Indonesia.

As a child, one of my favourite foods was tempeh. Fortunately I had a wide range of food to choose from. 

I realised that on every street corner there was an abundance of street food to choose from.

I learnt cooking from my mum, who would prepare lavish spreads for lunch and dinner. At aged 7, I began cooking by myself using natural ingredients. I therefore had cooking instilled in me from an early age. 

 

When I came to the UK, I realised that tempeh was a relatively unknown food type. I felt that there was a gap in the market for this type of food. And this is how Tempt Me Tempeh came to be. I also felt that there was a niche in the market for Indonesian street food. Therefore in combining my cooking abilities, passion for tempeh and authentic Indonesian street food, Tempt Me Tempeh was born
